The most important part about being a nanny...
- At every age of a person's life there are lessons to teach someone else and lessons to learn from someone else. I have decided that no matter what the interaction is, I need to take the opportunity to learn a lesson and teach a lesson no matter how young or old the person is.
My experience with special needs children...
- 4 years working with ages 12-25 on the autism spectrum
- 1 year working as a special education co-teacher with students who struggle with neurodiversity
- 2 years coaching families through group therapy on how to have a stable home through structure and support

The most important part about being a nanny...
Still to this day I have three favorites from my youngest days of nannying.
- The first was watching "Jurassic Park" with a 4-year old and when I jumped at a dinosaur roar he said "don't worry, I'll protect you"
- The second was two boy siblings who were apparently learning about pregnancy so they pressed my belly down during a game and said that they were "pushing the baby out"
- The third is teaching swim lessons. Children aren't as likely to misbehave when learning how to swim because they are so distracted by having fun. It is also fun to support them in learning a skill that I find fun and am so passionate about!

Part-Time Nanny Available in Decatur, GA: Ehimatie O.
Hi! I'm Ehi, a junior at Emory University majoring in Anthropology and Human Biology. I'm looking for a part-time babysitting opportunity because I work really well with children. While I haven't had a paid babysitting job before, I've volunteered extensively with afterschool tutoring programs for elementary students. Through this experience, I've learned to understand children's needs, resolve conflicts through dialogue, and recognize that each child is unique. I believe that I learn from children just as much as I teach them. Every child is deserving of so much love and has such a beautiful spark within them that deserves to be nurtured. A big part of how I approach childcare is treating children as individuals with unique ways of self-expression and wants while still providing guidance. Children are the future, and it's extremely important that I honor that. I would love to be part of your family's journey. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
