Hi there!! My name is Tia & I just moved back from LA after 5 years of being there. I went to University of Florida & double majored in pr/marketing & communications, but my real passion is in child care & helping special needs people. My Mom worked 80 hours a week so I basically raised my autistic brother, & taught him how to read & write when they said it couldn’t be done. Altogether, I’ve been awarded the President’s bronze, silver & gold award, Governors Point of Light honor & proclamation from the mayor for helping those in need. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked with special needs people my entire life. I’ve raised over $150,000k individually, not including giving 5 cars to children in need that had hand gas/ breaks, & started a pageant for special needs people (everyone wins a crown & bag of gifts!) when I was 10 years old that is still going strong!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It’s important to have a variety of activities. Love doing learning activities, but also find it important to do outdoor activities. I usually cater it to what the parents & children prefer.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To give them guidance, education, attention, & everything they need while they’re in my care. Being a stay at home Mom, I know how hard it is to trust (almost) anyone, & I want to be able to not only give assurance to children, but their parents. I’m a little bit of a helicopter Mom & watch children too carefully; but I would rather be too safe!

I love the bond & the excitement in kids eyes when they see me. I truly have a special yet different connection with each child, & while I’m not their parent, they all mean so much to me & become family.
