Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at Warwick Childcare's five Chester County centers in Pennsylvania as a substitute teacher for all ages, a teacher in the 1 year old room, teacher in the two year old room and infant room. I also did the summer camp pool program with the school aged children. I took lots of mandatory courses and classes which counted as credits towards an early education degree. I had gotten Certified in CPR and first aid training.
I worked as a full-time nanny Monday thru Friday 8 AM - 5 PM with two children ages 3 & 5. I had also been a part time nanny for a family of 4 children ages 6 months, 3 years old, 6 and 8. I had babysat for several families throughout my lifetime. Two children in different families that I had worked with had autism and learned how to tend to there specific needs without upsetting the other children or themselves.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I currently have three children of my own and one on the way. My children are 4, 3 and 1 years old. We work on Pre school work in the mornings which is out of a book along with extra reading and writing. We do LOTS of art projects indoors and outdoors. We set up trainsets and towns, farms, etc. Often. Outdoors is where we spend the majority of our time in the warmer months. We do gardening, make playgrounds, tree houses, play with water on the blow up slide, ride bikes, power wheels, schoolers and roller skates. We like to take a couple walks a day to the beach, playground, or pool.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for a toddler aged children with autism and an elementary school aged child with autism as well as taken classes for the Childcare I worked for.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Every day has its own new funny and special moments as every day children are learning and growing and it's just super exciting to see how much enjoyment they get out of everything and how much they appreciate and love just the time spent with them. It's just a wonderful feeling to see them happy!
