Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience as a teacher of children ages birth to three. I have also worked in public schools. I have worked in special education preschool, elementary school, middle school and high school. I have experience in working in daycares, helping the staff with strategies to work on with children with developmental needs. I have years of nanny experience and currently nanny two children, ages six and eight on the weekends. I truly enjoy nannying and am hoping to add a new family to my week day schedule.

I enjoy activities that are of interest to the child I am working with. Since children learn through play, I am big on playing with children. I enjoy any type of activity that motivates children to explore, use their imagination and broaden their current developmental skills.

The most special and important part of nannying is knowing that someone trusts you to be a part of their child’s life. I’m a mother and I know it’s not easy to leave your child in the care of someone else. Though having someone the family can count on is one less thing a parent needs to worry about.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with special needs for six years as a teacher and four years as a coordinator for services in the birth to three program. In the program we work on communication, gross and fine motor skills, cognitive, adaptive and social emotional skills with each child and their family.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have many favorite moments with children. My favorite moments are when we enjoy time together and/or laugh together. Other favorite moments are, experiencing new things a child has learned, such as how to crawl, play a tune on their new instrument, etc. I love when children are happy and sharing those fun experiences are always amazing!
