I am a mother of 5. All of mine are grown and moved on. I live alone except what I consider my babies of today which are my dogs that I love dearly. I've never kept children for a living but I've made my whole life about my children until they moved out. I am beyond qualified. My career has always been behind a desk. I worked at Beasley Allen law firm for almost 10 years and working for attorneys can almost be like taking care of children. :) Just kidding however I also know confidentiality from my career and I would imagine caring for someone else's children they would appreciate a certain amount of privacy, if you will. I welcome and look forward to the life (not really job) of caring for someone's most valuable and irreplaceable asset.... they're children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Gardening, riding bikes, coloring, painting, craft resin, making jewelry, cooking, playing hide and seek, using our imaginations and creating our own game, match, singing. Pretty much anything. Kids are amazing and if given the right guidance and boundaries anything can be fun including chores.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I've been a step mom and let me tell you that is probably the hardest job I've ever had. You love them just as the ones you gave birth to but sometimes the rules are different because you have to respect that they have their own parents and their parents have the say so on how they will be raised. You have to abide by that or it's a sticky mess for all involved, the grown ups and the children and even if you're ok with the mess you don't want that for the children. They didn't ask for it nor do they deserve it. You respect the parents wishes whether you agree or not and in turn the child learns from you as well seeing how you handle and respect the situation if there is one.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My daughter used to get in trouble and I would take her phone away. When I would she would in turn end up having the most fun ever. They came up with a game that involved basket ball, football and badminton all mixed together during a time that they were supposedly "being punished"
