Working professional in her late 20s with over 15 years of babysitting experience. I have cared for multiple children at one time, children with additional care requirements (SpEd), and have volunteered as a paraprofessional in high school in the special needs department. I served as a camp counselor for elementary and middle school aged children for 5 summers throughout high school and college.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I believe that caring for a child is an opportunity to inspire creativity and engage in social and intellectual activities. I love adventures (outdoor games, walks, visits to the zoo/museums) as well as indoor crafts with art and cooking/baking. Making daily activities like cleaning or eating snacks fun and educational helps encourage independence and responsibility. I love movies but opt for books or physical activity to pass time with the kids. It is important that the children I care for have a safe place to enjoy being kids and allow their parent(s) so come back to a peaceful home, not wound up and over stimulated children to put to bed. Your child[ren] are precious and everything to you, and in my care, they will be treated with the upmost care and respect.
