The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the little ones are safe, healthy, happy, cared for, learn, have fun and loved. From my experience, adults remember a lot from their childhood. I was raised by a village & had great experiences & memories. Most experiences have a profound effect on children. That time in their lives is oh, so short. In a blink of an eye, they're teenagers, and then young adults.
My experience with special needs children...
None, except everyday for 8yrs, I'd be with my neighbor & her 10yo autistic grandson.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most fun & rewarding things to do with a child is to go outside for a walk. My 5yo nephew & I walked my little dog. We talked, learned and experienced the elements, nature and explored the neighborhood and met neighbors.
