More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My most meaningful position caring for children was working as the afterschool daycare coordinator at a private school in Newport Beach, CA (Carden Hall). Two aids and I were in charge of 20-30 children in the age ranges between kindergarten and 8th grade. I loved playing games with them and actively sought ways to make aftercare fun. I created and organized games, crafts, and other activities.
I also worked as a life coach at a behavioral health residential home for teenage girls (Embark at Hobble Creek). For each shift, I was in charge of 2-3 girls and helped them complete their therapeutic assignments. I also engaged in activities with the girls to help create positive and meaningful experiences.
Additionally, I have babysat younger children ranging from a couple of months old to age 13.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts and crafts, going on nature walks, playing outside, swimming, going on picnics, visiting playgrounds, coloring, reading books, visiting libraries, visiting educational places (museums, zoos, aquariums, etc.), going to the beach, riding bikes/scooters, engaging in imaginative play, cooking, and baking.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Providing a stable and loving environment for each child. Recognizing that each child has different needs based on their unique personality and stage of development. Helping children learn, grow, and discover the world and theirselves by creating an atmosphere where positive experiences can happen.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Camarillo, CA: Ammara D.
Hello!
My name is Ammara, and I'm a young professional currently taking a break from the corporate world to pursue work that feels more meaningful and fulfilling. I hold both a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an MBA, and while I value my professional background, I've realized that I find the most joy in caring for and mentoring others.
I love to cook, read, and spend time with my cats. I'm also an avid traveler and have been fortunate enough to explore many different parts of the world. One of my favorite things is sharing those experiences with children—whether it's through stories, books, crafts, or fun activities that spark their curiosity about different cultures and places. I believe children learn best when they're encouraged to ask questions, be creative, and explore the world around them.
I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel supported, have fun, and grow with confidence.

Hi! I'm a 4th year psychology student at CSU Channel Islands in Camarillo. I deeply enjoy creating environments where the younger generation can learn, explore, and feel cared for.
My childcare experience includes caring for children from toddlers through high school in many settings. I've done in-home nanny care, supervised children during church events, and served in multiple Vacation Bible School programs.
Through my healthcare background, I also carry CPR/BLS and CNA certifications.
Majoring in psychology has given me an appreciation for how children learn, develop, and communicate, and I try incorporating those insights into the way I care for and interact with them.
I'm calm during chaos, and fully invested in the fun during playtime/activities.
I'm always willing to learn & adapt to serve your home well and I'd love the opportunity to support your family!
