Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Guess you could say childcare runs in the family! I have almost 20 years of experience with childcare. I have assisted several family members run their at home daycares throughout the years. I have had my own at home daycare for 3 years. Some of my responsibilities include watching over children in my care, doing activities with them, meal preparation and feeding scheduling, able to multi-task and attend to the child's needs, able to give my full attention, play times and exercise if needed, can administer medications if needed, aware and knowledgeable of child's safety precautions to take while they are in my care, can care for all ages 0-13, etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some include (Age Appropriate): Coloring, Writing, Painting and Other Art Projects, Outdoor Activities like Chalk on front porch, Legos, Movies and Popcorn, Cooking and Snack Time, Etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

That the kiddos only thought when they think of me: what are we gonna play today?
And know they are ALWAYS 100% safe and secure with me until Mom and Dad are back from work, trip, wherever. That they know they are ok no matter what and have an awesome day!

My experience with special needs children...

I am a past stepmother of 4 years and my stepdaughter had a disability. She was unfortunately in a car wreck at 5. I met her when she was 8. She can not walk. She can talk some (her own language) :) and can move her arms and hands but has a hard time writing, so she types what she wants to say on her tablet. She is a wonderful young lady now! The experience I got while knowing her included: Changing her when going to the the bathroom, lifting her and rolling her sometimes from bed and her wheelchair, medicine doses and observation, dressing and hygenine help like fixing hair and brshing teeth, transportation in car, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Recently, I have a young man Oliver that is 5 that I sit for. He came to me and said watch Tyffani! He starts patting himself down allover!!!! And says oh no!!! I forgot my wallet!!
Hahaha! I laughed so hard, he through me off guard! :)
