More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over 7 years of hands-on experience working with children of all ages—from sweet little infants all the way up to teenagers around age 14. I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to work closely with children who have disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. These experiences have not only deepened my passion for childcare but have also strengthened my ability to provide personalized support, adapt to each child’s unique needs, and offer a safe, compassionate space where every child feels understood, included, and celebrated.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite activities to do with kids include arts and crafts (we love getting creative with paint, glue, and glitter!), baking simple treats together, going on nature walks, reading fun and educational books, playing make-believe games, and dancing around to music. I also enjoy helping with homework in a supportive and stress-free way, setting up little science experiments, and creating themed play days—like pirate treasure hunts or space adventures. I aim to keep kids active, curious, and smiling throughout the day!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment where children feel completely seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are. It’s not just about watching over them—it’s about building real connections, being a positive role model, and helping shape the little moments that turn into big memories. Whether it’s comforting them when they’re upset, cheering them on as they try something new, or just being that steady, dependable presence in their everyday life, I believe those connections are what truly make a difference.
My experience with special needs children...
Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children who have special needs, including those with autism, developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, and physical disabilities. This experience has taught me how to be patient, flexible, and deeply attentive to each child’s unique way of learning and communicating. I understand the importance of creating a structured, nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported. I’ve worked with nonverbal children, used visual schedules, sensory play, and calming techniques, and collaborated with parents, therapists, and teachers to ensure consistency in care. Whether it’s helping a child build social skills, supporting emotional regulation, or simply celebrating everyday victories—these moments are incredibly meaningful to me. My goal is always to meet each child where they are and help them thrive at their own pace.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a shy, reserved little boy with autism find his voice—literally and emotionally. When I first started working with him, he barely made eye contact and preferred to play alone. Over time, with patience, gentle encouragement, and a lot of silly songs and sensory play, he began to open up. One day, he looked at me, smiled, and said my name for the very first time. It was such a small moment, but it meant everything. That moment reminded me of why I love what I do—building trust, celebrating progress, and knowing that I’m making a real difference in a child’s life.
