More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am currently a teacher at a Pre-K school in my region. Prior to that, I was a nannying two boys for 3 years! When I started they were 6mo and 2yrs.
I have had many opportunities to look after so many incredible children and work with amazing families! I do not ever take for granted the trust that is built in those moments either. I have been able to provide over night care and even watched thee siblings for 9 days straight (overnight included) while the parents went on vacation. I was responsible for all the meals, taking them to school and any/all extra curricular activities.
I take pride in the relationships and trust I have built with not only the children but the parents as well and I do my best to assist the whole family in whatever they may need!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being outside! Going for walks, small hikes, bringing a ball or frisbee to a grassy field, and doing picnics in the summer!

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part about being a nanny is being 100% present for the child. Really listen when they talk, cheer them on when they do something that maybe they felt shy doing! Just being their biggest fan! It sounds silly and obvious, I know. But sometimes it’s the silly and obvious things that can be overlooked in the day to day moments
My experience with special needs children...
While I have some experience, I would by no means consider myself an expert of any sort. I spend a decent amount of time with children who may need extra assistance at my school with varying needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nannying moment is the most bitter sweet one. It was my last day with my nanny boys before they moved to Idaho, and we were driving back to the house after I took them to see a movie they’d been wanting to watch, the older one (5yrs) asks me to turn down the music so he can say something, I listen and wait, and he says “I will never forget you” I had to hold back my tears until we were in the driveway! It was a moment that solidified the last 3 years of all our ups and downs were worth it! Knowing that I’ve left an impact on his and his little brothers lives is the best reward and it is a moment I will never forget.
