I’m 35 and have lived in Bend for almost 5 years - and I absolutely love it! Outside of my 9-5, I'm really enjoy cooking and hosting dinner parties, learning to knit, and going on adventures with my pup, Dottie.

I started working with children in my early teens and have provided childcare on and off for more than 10 years. I have experience with kids of all ages, from newborns to early teens, and genuinely enjoy creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for them. Outside of childcare jobs, I volunteered with a non-profit group in college that regularly hosted children of underprivileged communities for interactive day trips that allowed them to break away from their day-to-day worries and just be kids!

Hiking, riding bikes, swimming, snowboarding, and more. Just about anything that would take us outside!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think it's most important to create an environment where the children feel safe and comfortable to be themselves in your presence. When nannying, you are spending a significant amount of time with a family and their children, so the energy you bring into their home and your interactions with the children will make an impact - and they should be positive.

My experience with special needs children...

I have minimal experience with children with special needs. I would not say I feel confident without proper training.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A couple years ago I was a part-time nanny for a family over the summer and I connected really well with their daughter who was 6 years old at the time. One day we were playing at the swimming pool and she popped out of the water and said "you are everything." And of course, my heart melted.
