A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Rose, I am an honors student at Kellam High School. I am certified as a lifeguard with Professional First Aid and AED certifications, and will babysit/nanny on a part time basis for 1-8 hours at a time. I have some experience babysitting on one-off occasions, as my schedule only recently opened up with time for steadier jobs. As I am still a student, my schedule is not open before 3pm Monday-Friday during the school year. I love kids and have a lot of fun working with them!

I think the most important part of nannying is helping kids stay safe and comfortable while also encouraging them to be creative and have fun. I’m there to be a large part of their life that day, so I am responsible for their safety and learning during that time, which should be taken seriously.

One of my favorite memories is a stand in job I did last minute when their usual sitter had to go out of town unexpectedly, the kids seemed a little suspicious of a new person in their house but had warmed up to me and even let me read to them before bed by the end! I look back on it and think about how great it was to see them come out of their shells.
