A little bit about me

I am a childcare professional with hands-on experience in daycare and preschool settings. I began my education in early childhood development in 2021 at Tulsa Tech, where I earned my CDA and built a strong foundation in child growth and learning.

Since then, I’ve worked in daycare and as a preschool teacher, where I supported children’s development through structured activities and nurturing care. I am currently a substitute teacher while finishing my degree in child psychology, continuing to gain experience while expanding my understanding of child development.

I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children can learn and thrive.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes working at a daycare, where I supported young children with daily routines, learning activities, meals, and supervision in a safe and structured environment. I then worked as a preschool teacher at Educare, where I created and led age-appropriate lesson plans that encouraged early learning, social development, and positive behavior. Currently, I work as a substitute teacher, supporting classrooms of various ages by maintaining structure, assisting with instruction, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students. In addition to my hands-on experience, I have studied Early Care Education at Tulsa Tech, where I gained a strong foundation in child development, classroom management, and best practices for supporting young children’s growth and learning.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy doing with children include hands-on learning activities such as arts and crafts, reading stories, and helping them explore creativity through imaginative play. I also enjoy outdoor activities like games, nature walks, and movement-based play that help children stay active and engaged. In addition, I like doing educational activities such as simple science experiments, counting games, and early literacy exercises that support their development while still being fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting and nurturing relationship with the child and their family. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. Being a consistent, positive presence in a child’s life, someone they can count on and learn from, is something I take great pride in. Helping them grow, explore the world, and build confidence is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories as a preschool teacher was helping my class put on a small performance for their families. We spent weeks practicing songs and simple lines, and seeing how excited and proud the kids were on the big day was unforgettable. Some were shy at first, but they gained so much confidence through the process. Watching them light up with joy and knowing I helped create that moment made me feel incredibly proud and reminded me why I love working with children.

Megan S. - Seeking Work in Tulsa

Babysitter Available in Tulsa, OK: Megan S.

I am a multi certified early childhood teacher, having worked primarily with Spanish, where I have advanced skills. I am CPR certified, have worked with trauma kids and specialize in SEL and mindfulness, and have training in phonics, reading, and I fully believe in art, expressing ourselves, and art as healing therapy. I also love reading - books are so important. I have 2 children of my own, 17 and almost 20, have been a single mom most of their lives and spent most of my teaching career with 4-5 year olds. I LOVE kids - they are my favorite humans. I volunteer for Union Bands as the photographer, a role I'm in my 3rd and final year as (I have a senior!), and I love supporting the high schoolers and being on the field with them every week. Former GS Troop Leader and starter, Den Mom, BS mom, and PTA President. I truly love children, believe they are our future, and believe in play, reading books, and listening - because children are magic. Also have a therapy poodle if ever needed!

Seraphina B. - Seeking Work in Tulsa

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Tulsa, OK: Seraphina B.

I have always felt passionate about teaching, learning and childcare. I’ve worked as a babysitter throughout my adolescence, leading to a position as an aftercare teacher/ provider, and eventually an art/STEM teacher. I believe in children exploring the world around them through play, music, art, and experimentation instead of through a screen. I am a nanny who will care deeply for your child’s individual personality and emotional needs, as well as help (and involve the little one) with housekeeping and meal prepping.
