Hi! I’m Vanessa (19), a dedicated, team player with experience at In-N-Out, where I’ve developed skills in customer service, multitasking, and thriving in fast-paced environments. I’m quick to learn, family-oriented and bring a warm, approachable attitude to every task. Outside of work, I love staying active, reading, and being creative in the kitchen. I’m excited to bring my patience and enthusiasm to nannying, creating a caring, fun environment that supports kids' growth as I balance college and work.

I’m available M-F. My In-N-Out schedule is flexible, but I do need to work weekends. However, if weekend mornings or nights are needed, they’ll work with me to accommodate. Please give me two weeks to adjust the schedule change. I’m looking to start after Dec 16 2024, with my spring semester being laid-back as I’ve completed many history requirements for my transfer to UC Riverside in September 2025.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Doll Play & Imagination: I love getting into their world with dolls, matching their creativity, and coming up with fun stories. It’s a great way to spark imagination and let them lead!

Library Adventures: Library trips are some of my favorites! We pick out books, find cozy spots, and read stories that help them learn and dream. I’ll even get a library card at your local library :)

Outdoor Fun: I’m all for getting outside—walks, mini nature adventures, you name it.

Homework Help: I offer relaxed, pressure-free homework help. I also use Montessori-inspired activities that build confidence and independence.

Dance & Music Time: Dancing and listening to music with kids is one of my favorite ways to have fun!

Hair Styling for Girls: For girls, I can do braids or fun styles—it’s all about feeling good.

Balanced Screen Time: I’m not big on screens, but I enjoy a classic movie or educational cartoon now and then.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny, to me, is creating a safe, respectful space where kids feel valued and supported. It’s about building a bond of trust, so they feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their interests. I want them to feel encouraged to be curious and creative, knowing they have someone who believes in them. Setting boundaries is also key, as it teaches respect both ways, helping them grow up with confidence, independence, and empathy. It’s a balance of guidance, respect, and understanding that lets them thrive in a warm, caring environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment with my little cousins and niece was the day I taught them to braid. They’d always ask me to do their hair, so one day, I decided to show them how to do it themselves. I sat them down, each with their own hairbrush, and we practiced on each other’s hair, taking turns and cheering each other on.

At first, there were lots of tangles and some lopsided braids, but they were so determined. We laughed a lot, especially when one of them braided my hair into a tiny ‘unicorn horn’ on top of my head! Eventually, they each managed a braid they were proud of, and it was the best feeling watching them look in the mirror, seeing what they’d done on their own.
