More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was in respitecare for a company called 24hourHomecare for children and children with disabilities for 4years. Amazing families and kids.
Also worked as an independent nanny, which my first job, taking care of my first client and was with that family for 8 months until the mom came back to the states. It was in madera. Best experience ever. Thats why I started working for kids.
I did eldercare before working with kids and together ive worked for people for 10 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Well indoors: doing music to teach the alphabet, do flash cards, play games, i try to do each subject daily; i even do that with babies and have the parents engage so they can continue even after I leave.
Outside hopefully its not too hot or cold. I try to play some type of game for 15 to 30 mins so they can take a break and get a snack. I even try to do some exercises if they can.
Then i will have us do some type of activity: puzzle, color, watch a movie, listen to music, draw, or memory game for the remainder of the day until the parents get home

The most important part about being a nanny...
Being an extra pair of hands that help the parents and they get to do whatever it is they need to. Just to be the light to help the future.
My experience with special needs children...
Well since ive started working with my specials, I myself have learned from them. They have taught me patience, to notice everything, to be happy and have fun. They all have this spark about them and what they like. Each kid was different but wonderful. They get you to like and understand life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I dont have a specific moment that i can actually say, but they all made me feel special. They got me out my comfort zone. I like to act like a kid and have some fun goofy times and theres nothing wrong with that, to be patient and notice the little things in life that us adults take for granted.
