I have volunteered at the Dorothy Carrollton center since the age of 13. Worked with special needs classes at cfisd for two months, then with preschool-5th grade with cfisd for another 10 months.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Art and athletics! I love learning and teaching art to the little ones! I have activity books as well, and I’m also very active. I used to run track and cross country so I have lots of endurance to keep up with little ones! Usually if it’s a safe and fun game, I’m all about it!

My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with Down syndrome, epilepsy, and ADHD. I use calm communication and self reflection for problem solving, and music, art, reading, meditation or light yoga to help with stress.

One of my favorite experiences was a live-in position with a 4, 3, and an infant I got the privilege to help raise from NICU up until he was 8 months as l had to move home to start nursing school.
I maintain current BLS/CPR certification for infants, children, and adults with the American Heart Association. I love playing music, reading to children, arts and crafts/sensory activities, and enriching their days with new activities and experiences so they can meet their milestones.
