More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
From May 2025-April 2026 I worked at Bright Beginnings Daycare. I specialized in toddlers 1-3 but I also worked with infants and kids. I am First AID/CPR/AED certified within adults and children/infants. I've taken Early Childhood Education classes in highschool and college classes on the side of that. For one of the ECE classes I took an internship at South Side Elementary where I worked in a Kindergarten class alongside the teacher and her paraeducator. I have babysat colleagues' children as well as my own brother. I'm currently going to Tunxis Community College for my Elementary Education Associates degree, then to get my bachelors.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Every child is different in what they like or enjoy, which is perfect, because I love doing everything. Playing outside, crafts, pretend, singing, dancing, diy activites, board games, reading books, etc. Whether they stay on the activity for an hour or 5 minutes, I move right along with them into whatever we do next.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about caring for children is the we play role in their life and development!! Engaging with kids is SO important: children learn through play and communication. Through playing and engagement, it's much easier to see what your child might struggle with, and then set up some plans and strategies to help get them back on track!
My experience with special needs children...
I've had little-some experience while interning at South Side Elementary working alongside a paraeducator and the special needs children she took care of.
The most important part about being a nanny...
While working at the daycare, every single time I came in at 2PM, I would be greeted by littles running to me, or yelling "Hi miss victoria!!" and telling me all about their days before I had gotten there. It made my heart so happy to know that these babies were so excited to see me.
