More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I had the opportunity to complete classroom observation and field practice experiences as part of my preparation to become an elementary school teacher. During these experiences, I worked alongside teachers in various classrooms, particularly with younger children in Pre-K and kindergarten. I assisted with classroom activities, engaged with students, provided support when needed, and helped maintain a positive and organized learning environment.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading, playing outside, going to parks, playing age-appropriate games, doing creative and educational activities, baking and cooking together, and helping children explore their interests. I especially enjoy activities that encourage creativity, learning, independence, and lots of positive interaction.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is the impact I can have on the entire family. I want parents to feel completely comfortable knowing their children are safe, happy, and in caring hands, allowing them to focus on work, responsibilities, or simply have time for themselves. At the same time, I want the children to feel valued and supported by giving them my full attention, patience, and care. Being able to make a family’s life easier while making a meaningful difference in a child’s life is what makes being a nanny so rewarding to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with autism and understand the importance of being patient, understanding, and adaptable to each child’s individual needs. While caring for a family with two younger children, I also cared for their 7-year-old who was autistic. I took the time to understand his communication style, interests, and routines and adapted activities and instructions in ways that were easier for him to understand and engage with. I remained patient and supportive while encouraging him to participate, communicate, and feel comfortable throughout our time together.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is having the opportunity to watch children grow and become the people they are today. There is something incredibly special about caring for a child when they are little and then getting to see their personality, confidence, and independence develop over time. It is especially meaningful when I see them again and they still remember me, recognize me, or get excited to see me. Those moments remind me that the time, care, and love I gave them made a lasting impact on their lives, and that is one of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny.
