Hi! My name is Vienna. I am currently a student at Santa Monica College, and I will be transferring this year to CSUN to get my degree in Communications. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During the summer of 2016 I volunteered with an organization called the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM). The RSHM is a Catholic community of over 900 apostolic religious woman, who funded diverse services involving educational, pastoral and social. While volunteering I living in the RSHM convent with nuns. During the day I would volunteer at their summer camp for low income undocumented children who needed a place to be while their parents worked during the day. I spent my time with the fourth and fifth graders in and out of the classroom. Most of the activities included being outdoors, like going to the local pool, parks, and museums. When we would be in the classroom I would clearly instruct the kids on how to participate in educational activities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Depending on the age of the child my activities vary. I do enjoy spending more time outdoors, this guarantees the child will have less screen time. In the past I would take the children to parks, gardens, or just into their backyard to play sports and kinesthetic games.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not babysat a child with special needs, but I have assisted my aunt with her daughter who has autism. From what I've gathered it is best to stick with the Childs normal routine and rules. I have the patience and I'm confidence that I can watch a child with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my most heart felt moments was when I would help the children with their homework. I always created a calm and quiet environment for the children to thrive in. It was very rewarding knowing that I could help the children with any questions that they had.
