I am 17 years old and even though I have never been paid for babysitting, I have taken care of children before from ages 2 months to 12 years old. I am able to help kids out with homework and if they need someone to talk to, I would be there for them. If necessary, I am able to take care of pets as well. The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that an important part of being a nanny is communicating with both the children and their guardians. Another thing is keeping an eye on their behavior if they are usually really chatty and one day they seem quieter, I believe that it is important to evaluate the situation and then decide if you need to confront them about it or if it is something that they want to deal with alone. I am a firm believer in taking care of one's mental health.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was tutoring a 1st grader who was extremely mature and knowledgeable for her age as a program at my middle school (pre covid) and for my birthday she drew a rainbow heart picture for me as a surprise.
