I am a full-time FCPS teacher currently teaching Preschool for Friends with Special Abilities. In addition to my teaching role, I nanny for several students in the program, as well as children I have gotten to know through my experience as a camp counselor. The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting, nurturing relationship with the child and their family. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. I want the children I care for to know that they can be themselves with me, while also feeling encouraged to explore, learn, grow, and become more confident and independent.

I have extensive experience working with children with disabilities through my current role as an FCPS preschool teacher, as well as my previous experience as a Special Education Instructional Assistant. I have worked with children with a variety of developmental, communication, behavioral, and learning needs. I enjoy creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, understood, and encouraged to grow.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments is seeing a child gain confidence and begin to trust me enough to try something new. I love watching that transition from “I can’t do this” or being unsure to seeing them proudly say, “I did it!” Knowing that I was able to create a safe, encouraging environment where they felt comfortable taking that step is incredibly rewarding to me.
