More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I had a nanny job for about only 6 months, took care of 2 kids, 7yo and 5yo. Did duties like clean up after them, cooked for them, helped with homework, and came up with activities to do! My sister as well is a teacher, I often do volunteer at her school in her classroom!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing activities indoors or outdoors. I enjoy anything involving swimming, running, and dancing. I absolutely love painting and coloring, as well as any crafts. I enjoy playing board games and anything involving creativity like building forts. For outdoors anything like a small picnic outside, a nice little walk outside, playing with chalk. Or simply just enjoying the sun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is simply being kind and patient, as well as remaining calm as kids under 17 are developing and it is important on who they surround themselves with! I think being a nanny is not always about the pay, it is also more so the memories that kids will be able to look back on in a couple of years :) I myself had a nanny and she made it memorable for me!
My experience with special needs children...
I actually do not have any experience with special needs children, but I believe I am a very patient person and would be willing to try. I know it is not easy and parents need a break sometimes :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
Was making the kids feel happy about a movie night. I put on Monsters Inc and made Monsters Inc themed foods, as well as decorations. We watching the movie till they fell asleep and they loved the idea ! Creativity goes a long way.
