A little bit about me

I am versed in Montessori methods, am an advocate for low to no tech childcare with an emphasis on getting outside everyday at least for a little bit, regardless of weather to increase immunity and lower the risk of depression and anxiety. I have successfully implemented baby led weaning with my own child with the guidance of a feeding therapist. Most of my childcare experience is with infants, with the most recent being my own daughter. I have researched and implemented different sleep strategies and soothing techniques for infants. I do not participate in the "cry it out" method for any child below 12 months of age. Studies have shown that in infancy, a child who is responded to timely and consistently is better able to self regulate as a child and adult. I have experience in teaching chores and routines to young children to create a consistent routine and the ability to contribute fosters a sense of independence and helps promote healthy habit development.
