A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Xena W. :) although most folks call me Xe. I am from Dallas, Texas and have been living in the Denver Metro for about two years now. I am part of the LGBT+ community and use he/him pronouns.

I started working in childcare professionally over six years ago, and also babysat for family members and friends while in high school. I have experience as a teacher at a daycare/preschool where I mostly worked with kids ranging from three to 13 months old. I also have extensive experience as a nanny, a role in which I have worked with twins, kids with varying physical and cognitive disabilities, and lgbt+ youth. As a nanny, I have worked with kiddos ranging in age from newborn up to 14 years old. Additionally, I have worked as a summer camp counselor and ad hoc babysitter.

I am currently looking for a position to start late July/early August 2026, as my current kiddo will be transitioning to a school setting at that time.

I am CPR/First Aid certified and up to date on vaccines.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience working in a daycare/preschool setting as a co-teacher with a class of about 12 infants. I’ve worked as a nanny for kids ranging from newborn to 14 years old. I have also worked in summer camp settings with kids ages 5 to 17.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading, painting (or anything crafty), dancing, exploring the outdoors, and really anything your kid is into, I can get into!

I have worked with children with autism ranging in age from 7 to 14 years old. I have also done tutorting with kids who had dyslexia and/or ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Any time I get to make a kid smile or laugh, my day is completely made. But my favorite moment would have to be when I was working with twins, and at the end of my first week, they both declared to me, unprompted, that they loved me. It made my heart absolutely melt.
