I have more than a decade of experience taking care of a child with special needs — my 12 year old cousin is autistic and has Down’s syndrome. Throughout the last decade while I was in Chicago, I babysat him often while my aunt ran errands, and accompanied her to his daily physical and special need’s therapy classes.
