Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing arts and craft with the children creating new crafts such as DIY projects etc. I enjoy taking children out on nature walks and do stuff like scavenger hunt etc. I also love to add in some educational activities like reading a book together, creating some fun, educational games that keep the children engaged. I love doing sensory play with the children. Could be many things like making a sensory table or planting outside. I absolutely love doing any of these type of activities with the children and they seem to love it too!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a safe, loving, and trusting relationship with the children and their family. When kids feel secure and supported, they can grow, learn, and thrive and parents can have peace of mind knowing their child is cared for like family.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with kids that have autism. And I see that it is very important, You celebrate every single milestone they hit whether it’s bigger or small. I love building strong bonds with them. I love adapting to activities to meet each child’s unique needs and interests, making learning and playtime both fun and meaningful. When I have worked with children with special needs, I try to encourage independency as much as I can, but of course always being there to help them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments as a nanny has to be seeing a child’s face light up when they master something new, like tying their shoes or reading a word or Watching a shy child open up and grow confident over time. Being part of “firsts” — first steps, first words, first days at school. Making up silly games and laughing until everyone’s belly hurts. Seeing kids comfort each other using skills you helped teach them. Those are just a few examples of my favorite part of being a nanny I could go on forever!
