More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have hands on experience working with children of all ages in both recreational and educational settings.
I’ve taught Skateboard and Rollerskating Lessons to toddlers and children of all levels at Zumiez sponsored events, and volunteered at Nonprofit Skate events and classes.
I’ve also assisted in leading Drama classes at my previous High school LaGuardia H.S. For Performing Arts, where I guided students through Performance Techniques, provided one on one Acting Coaching, and Playwriting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor Activities I enjoy doing with children include: Arts and Crafts, Card Games, Puzzles, Creating Shows, and Performing Songs they decided they wanted to learn Vocally or Instrumentally.
Every child I’ve cared for expresses the most excitement and joy showing their parents a song they’ve practiced, a Story they’ve created, or Art work they’ve made!
Outdoor Activities I enjoy doing with them besides outdoor games include gardening (if available), Treasure hunts, and visiting New York’s Gardens and Pet Shops where they can learn about Nature and New York’s wildlife in a fun and eager enviornment!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny I feel is making a child feel Seen, Safe, and able to express themselves without judgment.
Showing a Child their emotions are valid, allows them to more easily understand and importance of considering other’s feelings. Your patience for a child allows their ears to be wide open and ready to listen when it is then your turn to express yourself.
Doing this has allowed me to quickly help Children who struggled with behavioral issues, or had often struggle with other children become more inclined to listen and learn.

My experience with special needs children...
My experience caring for children with special needs includes caring for my 5 yr old Nephew. His Autism allows him to become easily overstimulated, resulting in sensitivity to touch, impatience, and difficulty communicating.
In these moments, we practice breathing techniques that help him Regulate his Nervous System, and physical movements that I turn into games that help him release any overstimulation he may feel built up.
After this his mood has always improved.
