More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My 3rd grade class right now at Lewis Elementary has been some of the best experience I have gotten working with kids! I work with them everyday Tuesday- Friday for about 2 hours during my school day. When I was in 5-8th grade I was in “peer buddies” a program where us students got pulled out of class to work with the special needs kids on school work, homework, and to hang out with them!! I also have a younger sister whom I grew up taking care of with big sister duties!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love board games! Anything with cards as well. I also love coloring, painting, dance party’s and sports in the back yard! I grew up an athlete and love to run around with the kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part is understanding the child’s wants and needs and being able to work around things when they don’t work out as we wanted. I think it’s very important to be safe as well. Safety is so so important. Keeping the kids safe is my responsibility when im with them and i will forever take that seriously.

My experience with special needs children...

Peer buddies mainly and also just in my classes where I have special needs friends i’m always looking to help!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Not nanny but my favorite 3rd grade class story is, on the day before we left for christmas break I got sick and could go in that day. The kids all individually drew me cards and wrote me sweet letter's. When I returned after the break they were so excited to show them all to me. Definitely one of the sweetest moments I remember.
