I've volunteered at the Homeless Shelter for Youth in DC, I'm currently enrolled in the Child Development Course at my school which is basically teaching pre-k & I have 6 younger siblings I take care of.

Reading books, telling stories, playing board games, dancing, singing, fashion shows, console games, outside activities etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is not tending to the child, but tending to that family as a whole. Nanying goes beyond the child, you want to make sure you build a real bond with the whole family, get to know them on a personal level. This allows you to really get an understanding of how that family functions and how they deal with their children on a daily basis. It gives you insight on what to do, what not to do, what the kid or parent won't like or approve of etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I was at my aunt's house watching my 2 year old cousin Energy. I played the song 500 Miles by the Proclaimers and she starts JAMMING OUT. I mean a full on dance routine, ending with a jump in the air, she's been waiting to give that performance lol. It was the funniest and cutest thing ever.
