A little bit about me

Hi there!

I am a highly experienced Nanny looking for a wonderful family to help out. 🥰

I am a Kennebunk resident & a 40 year old 24/7 full time single mother of a beautiful 5-year-old little boy.

I have extensive experience in child care that includes 9 Early Childhood Education credits, Lead Infant & Lead Toddler teacher titles at a few days cares, over 3 years of private Nanny experience, and I am CPR & First Aide certified. I have taught basic sign language to babies so they can tell us what they want/need. I also have taught a little bit of Spanish as well.

My rate is $25 an hour for one child & $5 an hour extra per additional child.

I also provide services outside of Nannying such as dog walking/adventures/check-ins, grocery shopping, laundry services etc. Check out my Facebook business page (Home's Where The Dog Is) or my website https://www.homeswherethedogis.com/

How to Hire a House Manager/Nanny in Maine

Nanny Lane helps you find a nanny in Maine who can also manage your household.

We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.

What Is a House Manager/Nanny?

A House Manager/Nanny combines childcare with household management or family assistant duties. Besides caring for the children, they help run the household, from organizing schedules and errands to supervising other help, which suits busy families who want one person looking after the home and the children.

Common Responsibilities of House Manager/Nannies in Maine

Duties often include meal planning and grocery shopping, laundry, organizing the home, running errands, scheduling appointments and activities, and coordinating with other household staff, on top of childcare. The balance between childcare and household tasks varies from one family to another.

What to Consider Before You Hire

Be specific about how the time is split between childcare and household work, and put it in a job description. Roles that combine duties may be paid at a higher rate, and they call for more experience. Make sure expectations about housekeeping, such as deep cleaning, are clear from the start.

House Manager/Nanny Interview Questions

Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:

  • Have you worked as a nanny and as a household manager or family assistant?
  • What household tasks are you comfortable managing?
  • How do you organize schedules, errands, and appointments?
  • Have you supervised other staff, such as cleaners or contractors?
  • How do you balance the children's needs with household tasks?

At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
