A little bit about us

Hi! We’re looking for a caring and reliable nanny to help care for our two daughters — a 2 year-old and a 4-year-old.
This position is 2–4 days per week, with hours that may vary depending on the day — typically 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM or 8 AM to 2 PM. My older daughter will start pre-k in September and will be gone from 8 AM- 11:30 AM. My husband works a rotating 24-hour schedule, and I work three 12-hour shifts per week, so flexibility is greatly appreciated.
We have two friendly cats that sleep the majority of the day.
We’re looking for someone who is experienced with toddlers, dependable, and loving, with a proactive approach to childcare.
If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!

A little bit about us

I need help with my son, staying home all day to care for him has been very mentally tough for me and I need a break now and again...
Looking for 3 hours in the late morning and early afternoon, he is a sweet baby boy, he hardly cries but when he rarely does it's a full meltdown 🙃 he takes about 45 min naps now a days, sometimes up to 2 hours but rarely now that he's 4 months. I just need some one to come play with him, do enrichment activities with him, feed him, and change him for 3 hours Mon-Friday to give myself a bit of a break.

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. What is an Infant Nanny in Windsor Locks, CT

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Windsor Locks, CT? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
