A little bit about us

Hello! We are looking for a nurturing, reliable, and tidy caregiver to become a long-term part of our family.

Right now, we primarily need someone every Tuesday from 12–5 p.m., with occasional days from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. We would also love to find someone who has some flexibility for occasional weekend date nights and possibly future family trips.

I work from my home salon, and my husband also works from home. We will both be coming and going throughout the day, so you won’t see much of us, but we’ll be nearby if you ever need anything.

I will be homeschooling my 5-year-old, and she may need a little help completing her daily workbook, which typically takes about 30–45 minutes and is very simple and straightforward. My son usually naps for about two hours in the middle of the day, so during that time you would only have one child to care for. This is also typically when we fit in homeschooling, light tidying around the house, and occasional food prep.

Our kids love being creative, playing outside, and staying active. We’re hoping to find someone who is loving, patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children. Most importantly, we would love to find someone who can grow with our family and hopefully stay with us for years to come!

📆 Days: every Tuesday 12-5 (occasionally 10-5) and occasional weekends

🧹 Housekeeping: Dishes, vacuum, wipe down tables and countertops

💰 Pay: $25 an hour

📍 Location: Brighton

👧 👦 Kids: two kids ages 3 and 5

Seeking a PT nanny for 2 girls aged 3 months and 2. 5 in Brighton, MI. 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. It would take place in our home. I WFH but office is in master, you and the kids would have full reign of the house.
Toddler enjoys reading books, playing pretend, crafts, baking, playing outside (especially in puddles).
Other requirements:
Getting the girls outside (fully fenced backyard with playset, walkable neighborhood)
Taking toddler to socialize with other kids
Prepare meals and snacks
Could use our car or own, but should have reliable transportation and a good driving record
Must be comfortable with pets (2 dogs and a cat)
Non smoker
Limit screens for the kids. Caregivers should limit their own screen use while caring for and playing with the kids
A long term position (until the girls enter preschool) is preferred but not a deal breaker.

A little bit about us

I work remotely from home and am having a baby mid February. We are having a baby boy named Jaguar! We’ll call him Jag. After 3 months maternity leave I’ll need part time assistance in my home probably starting around end of May. Probably about 20 hours a week but could change depending on work schedule. Hoping 4 hours a day not sure times yet but will try to keep things consistent. I do have a dog and cat, they don’t need assistance but you must love pets because they are a huge part of the family. Will need own transportation, and must be CPR and first aid trained for infants. I will be home while you’re here and I provide lots of healthy snacks for you as well!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Brighton, MI

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Brighton, MI

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Brighton, MI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
