A little bit about us

I am looking for a nanny for my 11 month old son! He's an active, curious and independent baby with a cheerful disposition.

Schedule: 7:45am-5pm Tuesday through Thursday (required) with occasional Friday half-days (requested, but not required) (~28 hrs/week). Preferred start at the beginning of October.
Location: Kingfield (SW Minneapolis), in our home
Pay: up to 23/hr, negotiable with experience
Sick days: 4 paid per year
Other details: Our son has a medical condition, so comfort with administering medicine is needed, and we may request that you occasionally do his nebulizer treatment. He eats a combination of table foods, purees, and milk. He is on a regular 2 nap per day schedule; one nap is reliably 60-90 minutes, so you'll hopefully get a daily break! No driving is currently needed in this role.
A good fit: An active nanny who likes walks, going to the park, reading, art, and music. We have a strong preference for someone who lives nearby; I will not accept applicants who would have a 30+ minute commute.
Our family aims for low screen time, so creativity and problem solving are extra helpful. :)
Nonsmoking and CPR certified a must.
Light, baby-related housework would be expected occasionally (basic toy tidying, prepping/washing bottles, cleaning high chair, leaving things as they were found).

We're looking for someone who can commit to the schedule with minimal exceptions. Both of us work outside the home and have limited flexibility in our hours.

If this interests you, please reach out and we can discuss more details!

A little bit about us

Location: Edina
Children: 4 month old boy
Hours; M-F 8-4 (flexible)
Length of position: Ideally at least until the end of the year!

Hello! My name is Kristin and I have a 4 month old named Cal. We are searching for a family and a nanny to do a nanny share with (or a nanny who would bring her own child).
We live in Edina near the Edina Community Center/South View Middle School.
I work from home most days and would love to have a situation where the babies would be at my home a few days a week and at the other home the other days.
We do have 2 large dogs but I will plan to have them tucked away in my home office with me so they won’t be in your way!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Minneapolis, MN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Minneapolis, MN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Minneapolis, MN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
