A little bit about us

I have an almost 2 year old, very active little boy. He is an only child and loves to play with other children. We also have a fantastic full-time nanny that regularly takes him to play areas and activities with other kids, but it would be nice to have someone he can play with throughout the day and grow with.

We are open to another child coming to our home or alternating during the week. The day consists of morning play, a kids trip to play (library, play area or class), nap, and afternoon of walks to the park or just general play. Our nanny incorporates reading time and developmental activities as well. There is no TV time during the nanny hours.

My husband and I work remotely in our own offices and rarely venture out with the kids outside of grabbing food but are available if there are any issue or emergencies where we would need to tend to the kids. We have a friendly little chihuahua mix in the home but he is kept in the rooms with us.

Please do reach out with questions or if you are interested in joining a nanny share!

A little bit about us

We are new parents seeking recurring childcare for our 3-month-old daughter. She has a lot of personality and enjoys play time between naps. Specifically, we need someone Tuesday. Wednesday, and Thursday 9-4. Duties would include general infant care (e.g., feeding, changing diapers and clothing, developmental play) and light housekeeping (e.g., washing bottles, folding Nova's laundry, putting away toys). Dog care is not required. Mom, Khalilah, works outside of the home. Dad, Charles, works from home. Sitter or nanny with infant-care experience and CPR certification are preferred. COVID19 vaccination is required.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Durham, NC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Durham, NC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Durham, NC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
