A little bit about us

We're looking for a warm, energetic and playful full-time nanny to provide care and serve as a strong positive role model for our two daughters. The position is based in our home in Bellingham's Columbia neighborhood. Care will primarily be for our youngest, with after-school care for our 8-year-old.

This role also involves occasional domestic and international travel with our family when work takes us away from home. Mom is a climate scientist whose work takes her to places like New York, San Francisco, Iceland, and Europe. Dad is an engineer. We're looking for someone who is comfortable traveling and excited by the opportunity to experience new places with our children.

A Little About Our Family
Our youngest is an exceptionally charming, funny, and affectionate little girl who will keep you laughing. She thrives with caregivers who are participatory in play and enjoy jumping into the fun when invited (which is most of the time!). She loves singing, long walks, swimming, seeing friends, and imaginative, silly games—think puppet shows, tea parties, and whatever else you can dream up together.

We're hoping to find someone who takes initiative in planning engaging activities, enjoys getting out of the house for adventures, even when it rains, and brings creativity to everyday routines.

Schedule & Benefits
Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (40 hours/week)
25–30/hour depending on experience
3 weeks of paid time off annually
Occasional domestic and international travel, typically 2–7 days per trip, with all travel expenses covered and advance notice.

If this sounds like a good fit, we'd love to hear from you. Please respond with a brief message about why this position interests you and how your strengths might align.

A little bit about us

Looking for a live in nanny to watch our girls for ~40 hours/week. One is almost 2 and the other is expected April of 2022. Compensation would be a combination of free lodging (1bedroom downstairs apartment with separate entrance) and hourly wage. We would want someone who is comfortable with a trade off between hourly rate and lodging and does not mind sharing a house but with private living spaces. We want a nanny that genuinely loves children and wants to help them develop and grow and is willing to also do some light house work.

A little bit about us

We are expecting this September and I am just look at what is out there for childcare in December 2024.

I am a Mental Health Therapist/Business owner with flexible hours and can make a lot of schedules work. My husband works for PSE and also has a fairly flexible schedule. We both work from home at the moment.

We would love to set-up a part-time, mid-week nanny share with another family (ideally Tues, Weds, Thurs). Typically for about 6 hours each day. We want to nanny share for many reasons — community, better wages for our nanny, and playmates!

No pick up/drop off duties. Responsibilities include focus on keeping my kid safe, fed, and happily playing or napping so I can focus on work.

Ideally we would like someone willing to come to our home. Thanks!

A little bit about us

We’re looking for another family to start a nanny share with our daughter Ruby (born January 2024). A little about us: We’re based in Sudden Valley. Will (dad) is a dentist working M-W, Kathleen (mom) works full time from home M-F. We also have a very friendly 5-year-old sheepadoodle named Flurry.

We’re hoping to find care for four days/week (ideally M-Th), but we’re a bit flexible as long as we have full-day coverage M-W (exact hours somewhat flexible). We’d be open to hosting, drop-off, or a mix depending on location!

A little bit about us

I work at a community college and am mostly remote but go into the office once a day which is when I will need a baby sitter. I am very flexible. I just need 1 day a week 8-9 hours. My baby Arden is almost 5 months old. I just expect you to watch him and maybe just help him with his tummy time, he's bottle fed, hes pretty easy going and doesnt really have any particular demands. I'd prefer at my home since it's only 1 day a week. Mondays would be ideal but I'm flexible and could probably do Tuesday if needed.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Bellingham, WA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Bellingham, WA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Bellingham, WA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
