A little bit about me
Hello! My name is Therese! I graduated college last year from University at Buffalo. I am a teacher and teach Middle School reading, writing, and history in the inner-city of Buffalo. I have been working with children for 8+ years. I worked for the Town of Amherst Youth and Recreation department as a counselor at both summer camp and after-school programs. At summer camp I planned fun games, art projects, and activities gor elementary school children and at after-school I frequently helped children accomplish their homework. As a current teacher, I lesson plan and help each individual student succeed. I love helping children! I am first aid and CPR certified. I am passionate about education and working with children! Starting in beginning of June I will be available fulltime.

A little bit about me
Hi!! My name is Alyssa and I would be honored to care for your little ones! I am 21 years old and I go to Buffalo State University. I am at the end of my junior year and will be starting my senior year in the fall! I am currently studying to become a Child Welfare Social Worker! I currently work at a daycare and my 1 year anniversary will be in the beginning of June, however I am soon thinking of leaving if I can find a full-time babysitting/nanny job for the summer! I also have a car so transportation is taken care of. I do start my senior year at Buffalo State in august so my availability would end at the end of August. I have an internship that I will be doing as well as classes at school. I might be available once in a while during the school year, it will depend. I can care for any child whether newborn or teenager! I love children so much and I always have, that is why it has always been a passion for me to become a social worker! I look forward to talking soon!

How to Hire a Summer Nanny in Buffalo, NY
Nanny Lane helps you find a summer nanny in Buffalo, NY to take care of your children while school is out.
We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.
What Is a Summer Nanny?
A summer nanny is a nanny who works during the school break, for the full summer or for part of it. Summer nannies are often teachers, college students, or experienced nannies who prefer seasonal work, so families can find help when school-age children are home during the day.
Common Responsibilities of Summer Nannies in Buffalo, NY
Summer days are less structured than the school year. A summer nanny plans activities such as park visits, swimming, crafts, and day trips, prepares meals and snacks, and may take children to camps or classes. For younger children, they keep up the usual nap and mealtime routines.
What to Consider Before You Hire
Start your search early, since good summer nannies are booked quickly. Decide your start and end dates, your weekly hours, and whether you need flexibility around camps, vacations, or travel. Be clear about transportation, and about whether you need the nanny to drive. If your dates might change, say so up front.
Summer Nanny Interview Questions
Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:
- Which dates are you available this summer?
- Are you able to adjust if our dates or hours change?
- What activities would you plan for the children during the day?
- Are you comfortable driving, including to camps and activities?
- Do you have experience with children of our children's ages?
At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
