A little bit about me
Hi There!
My name is Rachel Franey! I am currently a sophomore at Penn State, University Park. I am looking for childcare positions for the summer and possibly during school breaks if I am wanted. I am from Exeter Township and will be living there for the summer. I have been employed at Wyomissing Kindercare since the summer of 2025, and I was a center staff member there for ages ranging from infants to 12 year olds. I have 3 years of experience as an aide for a preschool summer camp (unpaid/volunteer). Through my employment at Kindercare, I have a number of certifications including CPR. I also have experience babysitting for families, and previous job experience at other companies. If needed I can provide a formal resume upon request! I am experienced and comfortable with taking care of children with behavioral challenges. I love spending time with kids! I am patient, resourceful, kind, compassionate, understanding, and flexible.

A little bit about me
Hello everyone! My name is Savana Harrison and l am a 21 years old. I'm a rising senior at Albright College who is home for the summer. I have had years of babysitting experience, starting at 16, as well as being an activity assistant at a senior living facility for both personal and memory care residents. Here I was able to share educational and social experiences through activities. Helping the residents have fun, participate, and socialize throughout their time there. My ultimate goal of babysitting/ nannying is to help your children accomplish their milestones all while building a bond, having fun, and creating a safe space to do so. If you have any question or interest please message me, hope to hear from you soon!

How to Hire a Summer Nanny in Reading, PA
Nanny Lane helps you find a summer nanny in Reading, PA to take care of your children while school is out.
We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.
What Is a Summer Nanny?
A summer nanny is a nanny who works during the school break, for the full summer or for part of it. Summer nannies are often teachers, college students, or experienced nannies who prefer seasonal work, so families can find help when school-age children are home during the day.
Common Responsibilities of Summer Nannies in Reading, PA
Summer days are less structured than the school year. A summer nanny plans activities such as park visits, swimming, crafts, and day trips, prepares meals and snacks, and may take children to camps or classes. For younger children, they keep up the usual nap and mealtime routines.
What to Consider Before You Hire
Start your search early, since good summer nannies are booked quickly. Decide your start and end dates, your weekly hours, and whether you need flexibility around camps, vacations, or travel. Be clear about transportation, and about whether you need the nanny to drive. If your dates might change, say so up front.
Summer Nanny Interview Questions
Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:
- Which dates are you available this summer?
- Are you able to adjust if our dates or hours change?
- What activities would you plan for the children during the day?
- Are you comfortable driving, including to camps and activities?
- Do you have experience with children of our children's ages?
At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
