A little bit about me
My name is Alexi and I am a Senior at KU studying Civil Engineering. I am originally from Olathe, KS so I was born and raised a Jayhawk. I am involved with Chi Omega Sorority, Engineering Ambassadors, and I am Secretary of American Society of Civil Engineers. I'm a big people person and love working with kids. I have been babysitting kids of all ages since I was 16 years old.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to discuss any questions or concerns you might have. I also would be more than happy to provide some references.
Thank you,
Alexi

A little bit about me
I have more than eight years of babysitting experience with children ages 0-10, one year as a part time nanny for a family with three busy little boys (5, 8, and 10yo), and after this summer, three years as a camp counselor (ages 7-16/17).
Ideally, I’d love to find a family with younger children, but I am perfectly comfortable with any age. I am hoping to work a full time schedule, so I am available for school pickup/drop off. At my current nanny job, I am also responsible for taking care of a young dog, as well as light housework and very open to doing the same in another position.
My earliest availability for work is the last week of August (8/24), I work as a Program Lead at a YMCA camp in Kansas so I will be busy with that over the summer.
Thank you and have a lovely day,
❤️Sierra

How to Hire a Weekend Nanny in Lawrence, KS
Nanny Lane helps you find a weekend nanny in Lawrence, KS who fits your family's schedule. Browse profiles of nannies who are available on Saturdays or Sundays, then message the ones you like.
We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.
What Is a Weekend Nanny?
A weekend nanny cares for your children on Saturdays, Sundays, or both. Some weekend nannies work every weekend, and others are available for the occasional weekend when you have an event, a trip, or a work commitment. Many have another job during the week, so they are often flexible about shorter shifts and one-off dates.
Common Responsibilities of Weekend Nannies in Lawrence, KS
Weekend care looks a lot like any other nanny job: supervising play, preparing meals and snacks, getting children to activities, and keeping to nap and bedtime routines. Because weekends are often busier and more active, you may also ask for help with outings, birthday parties, sports games, or family errands.
What to Consider Before You Hire
Be clear about the days and hours you need, whether the schedule is regular or occasional, and how much notice you can give. Rates and pay rules, including how weekend hours are paid, vary by state or province, so agree the details in writing and consider using nanny payroll to keep it simple. If you only need a few weekends a year, say so up front so nannies can plan around it.
Weekend Nanny Interview Questions
Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:
- Which weekends are you available, and how much notice do you need?
- Do you work every weekend or only occasionally?
- Are you comfortable with outings and activities, and with driving the children if needed?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?
- What rate do you charge for weekend shifts?
At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
