A little bit about us
We are looking for a **reliable, outgoing, and caring afternoon babysitter/nanny** for our 9-year-old son in Chappaqua during the school year. We are hoping to find someone local who is interested in a **long-term position** and can become a consistent part of his afternoon routine.
Our son is a **very talkative, curious, and social 9-year-old** who loves asking questions and having conversations. He enjoys **basketball, being active, playdates, and especially dogs**. We would love to find someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with kids his age, has a good sense of humor, and is happy to engage with him rather than simply supervise him.
He takes the school bus home each day, so **school pickup is not required**. Responsibilities will include spending time with him after school, helping with homework when needed, preparing simple snacks, light tidying related to him, and driving him to local activities and playdates.
The ideal person is **dependable, positive, patient, and energetic**, but also comfortable providing some structure around homework and his afternoon routine.
A **reliable car and clean driving record are required**, as you will need to use your own vehicle to drive him to activities and playdates.
During the summer, the schedule changes slightly and will include **afternoon pickup from local summer camp**.
This is a **long-term position**, and reliability and consistency are very important to us. We strongly prefer someone who lives in or near Chappaqua so that the commute is practical and dependable.
If this sounds like a good fit, we'd love to hear from you. Please tell us a little about yourself, your childcare experience, availability, where you're located, and what you're looking for in a long-term babysitting/nanny position.
