The most important part about being a nanny is to not forget the parents. Being a nanny does not mean you are just there for the child. You are there for the whole family.

I was a para professional for one year, I worked with 3 children. One of them was non-verbal and by then end of the year he was communicating with small sentences.
I was also a nanny for a foster mom who had 4 special needs children. All with different beautiful minds.

My favorite nanny momment is hearing Bennett speak for the first time. He was a non-verbal child and at 5 years old spoke his first word to me. He said "bubbles".
