As I'm only 19, I've never really been a nanny before. But I have worked as a caregiver for quite a while. Mostly with elderly, as children are typically rare in those circumstances. Though I do have experience with children, as I have been “babysitting” for several years now.

During my junior and senior years in high school, I was a tutor for special needs kids. I helped with schoolwork, kept them calm and happy, and most of all I always made them laugh.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One time, I was watching my friends daughter for a few days, and after I made her dinner she decided to decorate her entire body with mac and cheese. At first I shook my head because I knew I’d have to clean her off. Again. Mind you, she bathed maybe two hours beforehand. But my spirits were lifted when she said “I pretty. I’m Mac and cheese queen.” Honestly I laughed for probably a good 2 minutes.
