Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked for a preschool/daycare center full time ages range from 2-14. In the afternoon i pick up school aged children to come back to the center where we do homework club and have snack and maybe a dodge ball game till mom and dad return from work. I have babysat numerous children over the years, which allowed me to be able to be more present for my own.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Outdoor activities i like to do would be playing in the dirt building volcanoes that we put a hose to and then we turn on the hose and its like the volcano is erupting, dodge ball and tether ball is always a hit. Indoor activities would be playing with play dough and painting. I'm really good at making bracelets and necklaces out of yarn or thread, kids always love those.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is that the needs of the child is being met and the expectations of the parents are being met also. I love to see healthy, happy kids.
My experience with special needs children...
At the daycare center where i worked we have six children that have special needs that range from ADD to Mild Autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had a little boy that i was caring for and every time i would be getting him dressed he would put his arms around my neck and play with a couple moles that i have and he would say Ms Amber your'e so funny in his three year old voice and say you have nipples on your neck. He would put his finger on it and wiggle it around and laugh..silly kid :)
