I’m a high school student (senior, 17 in November) who is compassionate, curious, and genuinely enjoys helping others and spreading joy. I’m especially interested in psychology and human behavior, and I hope to build a future career supporting people through difficult experiences, particularly veterans and their families. I enjoy learning about others, making meaningful connections, and finding ways to make people feel heard, valued, and supported.

I’m a responsible and caring high school student who enjoys spending time with children and creating a fun, comfortable environment for them to develop and learn. I’m patient, attentive, and dependable, and I enjoy finding creative ways to keep kids engaged while making sure they feel safe and cared for. I’m also comfortable helping with everyday routines and household tasks when needed.

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy keeping kids engaged through creative and age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play, board games, outdoor activities, simple baking projects, music, and educational games.

I want to get to know each child as an individual rather than assuming what they will enjoy. I’m happy to learn about their interests, listen to what they have to say, and use their personality and curiosity as inspiration for activities. I value education, so I like incorporating learning naturally into play, whether that means supporting schoolwork, exploring a new topic, practicing practical life skills, or learning through hobbies and everyday experiences. I’m also interested in incorporating Montessori-inspired activities when appropriate, encouraging independence, creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning while still making sure the child is having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a nanny, one of my biggest priorities is helping children grow not only academically, but emotionally and socially. I want to encourage children to understand their emotions, communicate their needs, express themselves respectfully, and develop healthy ways of handling frustration and difficult feelings. I believe everyday moments can become opportunities to learn, whether we are solving a problem together, talking through an emotion, practicing independence, or exploring something they are curious about. My goal is to create an environment where children feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, expressing themselves, and developing the skills they can carry with them as they grow.

My experience with special needs children...

My older brother has Down syndrome and autism, so caring for someone with special needs has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have experience helping him with everyday activities such as bathing, getting dressed, eating, and getting drinks. He is partially verbal, which has also taught me to pay close attention to communication beyond just words. This experience has helped me become patient, attentive, and comfortable adapting to someone’s individual needs and routines.
