More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered for 60+ hours at a Montgomery County therapeutic recreation summer camp, working with kids across the autism spectrum.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time outdoors with kids and exploring together! I can turn any ordinary outing into an adventure, so we’ll often walk to the library, the park, or a nearby museum. When we can’t get outside, reading and pretend play are some of my favorites. I also love following each child’s lead and doing whatever they’re excited about that day!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is remembering how much you shape the person a child is becoming. Kids are whole people with their own thoughts and feelings, and I treat them with the same respect I’d give an adult. I go into each day thinking about what kind of behavior and thinking I want to model for them, because they’re always watching and learning.
My experience with special needs children...
I volunteered for 60+ hours at a Montgomery County therapeutic recreation summer camp, working with kids across the autism spectrum. I’ve also cared for children with behavioral challenges. I work closely with parents to follow each child’s routines and support plans, so they get consistent care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments are usually the small ones. One toddler I care for will look at me and say, “Cailyn, talk.” He just likes hearing me talk, so I’ll go on and on while answering all of his “why” questions. I love that he wants to hear about the world, and that he trusts me to tell him about it.

Babysitter Available in Washington, DC: Imogen W.
Hello, I am Imogen, this is what everyone calls me. I am from South Africa and currently pursuing a career in healthcare.
I attend class and study through the week but would like to help out one, or a few families on Saturdays and Sundays.
I can help with running some light kid/house related errands, babysitting, kids extra-curriculars and typical 9-5 nanny responsibilities. These include waking kids, preparing for the day ahead, administering meals, entertaining, nap times, outside activities, inside activities and schoolwork + bathtime.
I have good communication skills and am open-minded. I also have a high level of comprehension so all these soft-skills should help with establishing and maintaining a relationship.
Some additional information about me is that I like to read, paint and hike. I dislike unclean and disorganized spaces.
