I have six years of childcare and education experience, gained at a Montessori preschool, at an elementary after-school nature program, at a summer camp as an assistant site supervisor, and at a daycare center caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. My experience with special needs children...
I've cared for children who have been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and learning disabilities. For each child I would build a positive relationship with them to learn their unique interests and needs. This foundation helps me to see the "why" behind each child's behavior and how best to support them in a way that is comfortable and accessible to them.
