Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Being the second eldest, I have gained immense experience caring for my siblings. During extended school breaks, after school, and on weekends, I cared for siblings. I would provide meals throughout the days and weekends. Additionally, I would accordingly schedule playtime, nap time, and activities. I also assisted my mother with housekeeping such as dishes, laundry, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, as well as overall cleanliness and maintenance of our home. Moreover, I have further experience caring for children with other babysitting roles I have held. I occasionally care for my younger cousins, from the time they were infants to now being children. I have also babysat for a family friend on weekends. All of my experience has included meal prep, housekeeping, and providing exceptional care for young children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include a wide array of extracurricular activities. I am physically active and enjoy participating in sports such as volleyball, soccer, swim, baseball, and basketball. I also enjoy walking and running for exercise. Additional outside activities I enjoy doing include hide-and-seek, tag, hopscotch, scavenger hunts, and several more. Furthermore, I also take an interest in arts and crafts. I enjoy reading, drawing, painting, and creating fun crafts. Other indoor activities I enjoy are playing dress up, building forts, board games/puzzles, and many more activities. I am always sure to consider the child(ren) and do activities that will keep their best interests in mind!

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, welcoming, and understanding environment for children. In such an environment, children are able to prosper, grow, and express themselves free of judgment and fear. Being kind, compassionate, and patient are also important parts of being a nanny. Overall, being a nanny is very important because children need much more care and kindness when being taken care of.

My favorite nanny moment was when I was watching my younger twin cousins (boy and girl, age 4). It was during the summertime and far too hot to play outside, so we decided to do indoor activities. We started drawing and listening to music. Shortly after, we began karaoke and having a dance party. As soon as the song baby shark played, my younger cousins and I were singing and dancing around the room with joy. I remember all the laughter and silliness in the moment. Thinking of this time, brings a warmth and happiness to my heart because I enjoy little moments such as this one.
