More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I just finished a year of student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom at a local school. I also was a child care provider for 4 years at Christ Church's summer camp and after school care program. I have worked with children of all ages but have the most experience with children in grades k-8. I have previously nannied for a couple of other families and would be happy to provide them as references if needed.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going to the zoo, swimming, arts and grafts, playing games, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a bond with the children and the parents. You want both the parents and children to feel safe and comfortable with you. I want to be a safe space for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have assisted children with special needs during my time at a local summer camp and at a local school. I have also assisted in a SPED classroom.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Technically not a nanny moment but it does involve children. I recently finished student teaching and I decided to go surprise my class on field day. The second they saw me they attacked me with hugs. It was such a sweet moment.
