A little bit about me

I am 66 years old. I am currently a high school science teacher. I retired after serving 25 years as the United States human resources, naval officer. I raised one daughter who is now a 34 year old attorney. I’m looking to help out on Saturdays when I am not teaching.

I’ve cared for children throughout my life. I worked for a care.com for several years. I love to entertain children with hands on activities that teach life skills, reading and math. I’ve also provided three years of in-home care for my 78 year old mother-in-law with dementia. I’ve also cared for my own 92 year old mother for the past three years.

I am old school. I follow directions and provide the care required by the family and the children. I am also a swim, instructor and CPR certified.

I taught nine years in the astrophysics department at Lawrence Hall of science, UC Berkeley, where is hands on science, workshops and physics and astronomy for pre-K, elementary, middle school and high school students.
