Hi, nice to meet you I'm Eliza. I am 22 years old. I have 9 years of full experience with kids. I have a passion for helping kids grow and learn in different environments. I have been dancing my whole life and became a dance teacher where I have the privilege to work with kids and teach them. I have also been a preschool assistant which I loved! Being a positive light in kids' lives is so rewarding. I am currently enrolled at IDI getting my postpartum doula and perinatal nutrition certifications. My priority for every family I work with is to provide one one-on-one time with their children playing outside, doing crafts and games, learning, and keeping them entertained appropriately based on their age and interests. Ultimately I want to ensure the parents have the help they need and their children are safe and well cared for.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Childcare assistant overseeing the care and welfare of 6-10 children ages 3-11. keeping the kids engaged and entertained while learning. I helped kids practice manners, social skills, and kind interactions with friends.
Dance teacher and assistant overseeing different style dance classes from pre-k to high school levels. I teach competition and recreational classes from middle school to high school levels.
I have been a full-time nanny 5 years as well as a private meal preparation cook and private house cleaner.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to be outside and active! some of my favorite things to do with kids are going to the playground, riding bikes, going on walks, reading books/going to the library, baking/cooking, playing games, doing sports outside, making up new games using their imagination, explore nature, go to museums and aquariums and much more. I prioritize keeping kids engaged and learning appropriately based on their age and interests.

to me is being able to help families care for their children in a consistent steady way and being a positive light to their children. working with the family to ensure their kids are well cared for, safe and loved.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have had many "favorite nanny moments". My first one was when I was nannying for a family with 2 girls ages 5 and 8. We would go to the playground after school and play tag, and soccer, and play on the slides and swings. the oldest sister told me one day "Miss Eliza I love that me and my sister get to play with you every day you are super fun and that makes me happy" Another time she told me she looked up to me like a big sister and that melted my heart! my second "favorite nanny moment" was with a different family the kids were 2-year-old twins. I had put them to bed and cleaned up the house. When the mom got home she was so appreciative of how I go above and beyond what is asked. She calls me a "modern-day Mary Poppins". these moments will stay with me forever!
